A caricature is a unique and personal gift for someone’s birthday or retirement or as a ‘thank you’. I can capture your friends’ personalities by including all the things that makes them special; like their job, hobbies, belongings, pets – or whatever! I can even put them on the cover of their own comic! I also specialise in group caricatures – rugby and football teams, golf clubs, work colleagues – you name it!.
Belfast-based cartoonist John Farrelly has drawn hundreds of caricatures over the years, including ones of celebrities such as George Best, Gerry Kelly, David Humphreys, May McFettridge and many more! John won a Scope award for producing the best information leaflet of 2005, It’s A Tough Time For Everyone. As well as drawing caricatures, John does comic strips, storyboards and book illustration.
