One of my favourite things to do is draw comic strips. Here’s a small selection of the many I’ve done over the years. Some were done for in-house magazines, some for advertisements, some were personal commissions (also featuring a caricature) and others were done for my portfolio as samples. As you can see, I can work in a variety of styles from gritty and realistic to cartoony.
Belfast-based cartoonist John Farrelly has drawn hundreds of caricatures over the years, including ones of celebrities such as George Best, Gerry Kelly, David Humphreys, May McFettridge and many more! John won a Scope award for producing the best information leaflet of 2005, It’s A Tough Time For Everyone. As well as drawing caricatures, John does comic strips, storyboards and book illustration.
